All you need to know

Once you have decided that you are wanting to book a photoshoot, fill in the relevant contact sheet on my Contact Page and add as much detail as you can! I will then be in contact with you via email and we will discuss and finalise the date and location. With that information, I will then send an Invoice. Your booking is completed once I have received the 50% non-refundable deposit.

Once the booking is confirmed, I will send you my What to Wear Guide via email. This outlines different colour palettes and shows you some options that work well in front of the camera.

I have some shoot options in the Essex area but as I am new here, I am always open to suggestions. For sunset photoshoots, a beautiful open field with long grass, wheat or wildflowers is always stunning! If the time of the photoshoot is outside of the sunrise/sunset time windows, we might need some more coverage and protection from the harsh lighting which is where a forest and wooded area can be a wonderful choice. Alternatively, shooting in the comfort of your home is always fun and natural. I especially like doing newborn shoots at home as it allows space for nappy changes and feeds where necessary.

Once the shoot is done, I back-up all the images and select the best from the photoshoot. I always try to send a little sneak peek of 2-3 images via WhatsApp within the first week after the shoot. Once I have completed the post-production process (3-4 weeks) I will send you a link to the full gallery to look through and select your final images. If you can’t choose and wish to select more images, you are welcome to purchase single images or upgrade to the full gallery.

My approach to capturing visuals
01
My Shooting Style
I feel like I can easily sum up my style in three (very cheesy) words. Light, love and laughter. That is what I look for and try to capture in every session.
Playing with light is a big part of creating beautiful images and this is why the time of day is very important when booking a session. Early morning and late afternoon (around sunset) is the most optimal time to shoot outdoors.
In terms of the final images, I prefer capturing more candid photographs and although I always aim to get a few of everyone looking at the camera, the majority of the images you receive are playful and natural. This is also the easiest way to get real smiles out of the kiddies!
02
How I Guide You
The first question I get asked when meeting for a shoot is, “You are going to guide us, right!? We have no idea what to do and are so awkward in front of the camera!” Yes! I will definitely guide and prompt you during the shoot but I try to avoid “posing”. I will never ask you to do anything that feels unnatural to you and I always aim to keep things fun and easy! You should leave feeling like you’ve had a fun time out with your family/spouse, not awkward and uncomfortable. Plus, I always bring a speaker and jam some cool tunes to break any additional tension!
03
My Editing Style
Once the session is over, I select the best of the bunch and carefully edit those for you to look through and select your favourites! (see package details for amount of images included). When in post production, I stick to natural skin tones and always keep the true colours of whatever scene we are shooting in.
